2. i have had all different types of hair styles, cuts, and colors you can imagine. I've had uber short hair, blonde hair, permed hair, hair that reached the small of my back, black hair, red hair... you get the point.
3. i like almost all types of music. but you may be surprised to know i love rap music. i know the lyrics to many a rap song..
4. sometimes i think i am a teeny bopper living in a 24 year olds body. i love hannah montana/miley cyrus, the disney channel, high school musical movies.. and i am not ashamed of it.
5. ever since my senior year in highschool i have been passionate about adoption and birth mothers making difficult decisions. i went to college wanting to work in adoption, and now am so blessed to be working with families adopting from China and Ethiopia.
6. i love poetry. my dad read me poetry before bed when i was little and ever since then i've loved writing poetry. i like words and lyrics and prose. i think so much emotion can be expressed this way and is so cathartic to me.
7. my husband is the first guy i ever really kissed. and i wouldn't have it any other way. it made my head spin and he still makes my head spin. i love him. he is the best.
8. i love the color pink. although when i was little my favorite color was red. but then someone told me it was the color of the devil... hence pink. and now i love it. so much so that my bridesmaid's dresses were pink. bright.bright. pink.
9. i have a dog named max and he is my baby. and by baby i mean it quite literally. i treat him like a child. i love him more than i could ever imagine and he makes my life happier. judge me. but i don't know what i would do without him.
10. i love nintendo. i had the original nintendo, the nintendo 64, and now have the wii. I love mariokart. love it. and can probably beat you at it. i am good.
11. i have a coke addiction. i will never drink diet, and i will never drink pepsi.
12. i have 30+ cousins. my extended family is ridiculously large. i lose track of them all.
13. 13 is my favorite/lucky number. in highschool our soccer uniforms were always too big for us (they were the old boys uniforms, see #14) so my dad bought new uniforms for our team. i made him put all the small uniforms #9-#15ish so my friends on the team could have the #s they wanted, and so i could have the # i wanted... usually #13 is a medium, but i got it as a small... it was great.
14. i went to a private christian school from 5th grade to 12th grade and graduated with about 53 people.
15. i did competitive gymnastics when i was really little until 3rd grade. i trained at a gym that had sent a couple gymnasts to the olympics, i trained a lot.. so much so in 5th grade for the "presidential challenge" i did 37 pull ups and was told to stop.
16. i went to JMU. i think it is the BEST college EVER and will never be convinced otherwise. i love the DUKES and had the time of my life there. i really could go on and on about the people i met and the things i learned.
17. i've played soccer almost my entire life. i played year round and all the time. i love it. i love sports in general and have always had a naturally ability am thankful for that.
18. i love jesus. he is my best friend and is always there for me. my life wouldn't be anything without him and i am so thankful to know him.
19. my husband likes to fish, hunt, ride dirt bikes, and real boy stuff. our first conversation was a debate over gun control. i had no idea he owned several guns... i went on a tirade of how there needs to be way more gun control, etc. etc. he is very conservative.
20. i've loved Reba McEntire for as long as i can remember. I went to see her in concert in 4th grade. Afterwards there was a really long line of people waiting to have autographs signed... my dad's response was "it's just Faith Hill" (she opened for Reba)
21. i won front row tickets to a Brad Paisley concert from 98.7 WMZQ. Rodney Atkins and Taylor Swift opened for him- i touched taylor swift's hand. and yes. that makes me excited.
22. I have been blessed with TWO amazing families. i grew up with a wonderful mom and dad and great brother and sister. and now i've married into the best father/mother/sister in law i could EVER have asked for.
23. my college friends are AMAZING. i am so blessed to know these girls/guys. they are the most solid people i know and have influenced me and been there for me like no one ever has. i am at a loss for words of how much these people mean to me. i love them and miss them every day.
24. i can drive stick shift.
25. i've never been to New York City... until tomorrow!!!
