november 5th can't come soon enough

i can't wait until the day after election day. i am so sick of people's opinions, even if they share mine. i understand that people can think that their opinion is the truth, the right way, the only way- believe me, i live with a boy. boys always think they're right... but during the election time people try to force their opinions on other people in ways that don't work... it reminds me of religion, and specific to me, christianity.

the way you 'win' people over is through actions, love, gracious communication. NOT bashing other religions or with negative comments. i feel like this is the same with politics. if Suzy has an opinion one way or the other, and John with the opposite opinion says anything demeaning towards Suzy's opinion, it doesn't cause her to think 'oh, maybe John has a point', it causes her to think 'uh, John is a jerk, and jerks side with X'.

anyway, both sides do it. and i can't wait until it's over. blogging, facebook, etc. can stop being a place of political hatred and go back to their usual happy go lucky places...
