i hate to make blanket statements/stereotypes, but here is one i have yet to be proven wrong with. people from maryland, particularly ones with the above license plate, can't drive. they are horrible. almost every time i have been cut off or you know, almost killed, it was by a maryland driver. and i apologize if you're a maryland driver, but do you have a test you have to take? or laws to be able to drive? b/c one wouldn't know...

now, i am in the car a lot more than other people so maybe i just notice these things more, but it has been a good thing to know. i honestly am more careful around cars with MD plates.. probably saved my life a couple times. you know what else kills me? moms in minivans. (sorry mom) but it is also something i see all the time. just today this mom in a minivan swerved in my lane and almost ran me off the road and/or side-swiped me. i mean you would think moms in minivans would try really hard to pay attention, but i guess instead they are distracted by the children in their car. maybe their should a rule of the number of kids allowed in the car at once. or for no more minivans- that's my vote.

the third and final thing (i promise) i saw on my way home that is ridiculous are cops. just sitting on the side of the road. if i researched statistics i wouldn't be surprised if cops caused more accidents by sitting on the side of a road than preventing accidents... primarily on the shoulder of bigs roads. like the fairfax county parkway or dulles toll road. They not only cause people to SLAM on their breaks, but also to then drive 10 miles UNDER the speed limit for the next 10 miles.  i am unsure of why people find it so hard to drive around cops. slamming on your breaks is not going to help in anyway shape or form and that is just common sense. slamming on your breaks only is an admittance of guilt.  but i also dont see the need for cops to sit on the side of the road during rush hour in DC. making my commute at least 15 min longer than it has to be and causing the accidents that makes it even longer. stinkin cops. i know i should really like them because they protect us and stuff. but a lot of times they just cause traffic problems. 

i think i am in a bitter mood after my commute this evening. it took me about an hour, which honestly is not too bad... it has taken 1 hour and 30 min. but if i sat and talked about all the bad drivers i come across in one day, this post would never end. so the fact that i am even still alive, is proof that clearly i have some guardian angles.
