anyway. my battery was dead- had died before, so joey decided he needed to go get another one tonight to change it so i wasn't stranded in the near future. so we drove home to get the jumper cables and then to go back to the restaurant. of course it is storming like a crazy person on crack and our garage door breaks. how- we don't know. but when we get home it won't open with the opener and joey goes in to see the bolts all popped off... great. so we grab the cables, go back, jump the car and i come home.. in the rain... to manually open the garage door- while my car was still running... at 8:30 at night... and I pull halfway through so joey can change my battery in the garage. where it isn't raining.
needless to say it all worked out... well... my battery is changed- but joey let me know he actually wants to get me another one for my car cause this one isn't an "exact fit" and we haven't fixed the garage door yet- but at least it didn't slam down on my car which is what i was afraid of. this is when i ask myself. why do i work for a non profit. i know these things aren't that bad..but it seems to all add up at the same time. knock on wood nothing else will break in the near future. no more rain please.
"and sometimes you are right. and sometimes you should keep that to yourself."
