little boy.

Ben is going from baby to little boy. and a mighty cute one at that may i add. his height and weight remain pretty steady at the 75th and 50th percentile. he's learned a few new tricks...

• the army crawl. his first 'crawl' was kind of a rock side to side with this arms out in front banging his head on the floor... now he's a bit more efficient but not to the point where he can chase max yet. that will be something to see.

• blah. or mama or baba or dada are the sounds i hear throughout the day. he is quite the babbler. sometimes i swear he says real words.
• the pacifier. he can successfully put his pacifier back into his mouth by himself. this might be my favorite trick of all. he'll sleep in a bit later in the morning because he can find the pacifier and stick it into his mouth. yay.

• the dreamfeed. is done. he sleeps from about 7:30pm-7:30am everyday (give or take). this is another fantastic trick if i do say so myself.
• puffs. not only is he eating this "solid" food. he now has learned to pick it up and feed it to himself. although sometimes he gets a bit eager and wants to shove a bunch in there.

• standing. he has somewhat pulled himself to a stand once or twice, but he loves to stand.
• whining. unfortunately this is a trick i wish he never learned. he will just whine and whine and whine if you are not paying attention to him at ALL times... like say this very moment. he has all his toys to play with but wants the computer. or to stand. or max, who runs away from him. so that noise, is well. ugh.

all that to say, he really is just growing and developing well! It's fun to watch him do new things and discover things - like kissing the baby in the mirror - or banging his head against it.
