the reason for the 2nd tattoo. The Lord is my Beloved and I am His... I dwell in His security and many other blessings b/c I am His. Also, the Jesus is referred to as "Beloved" as well throughout the Bible. A constant reminder of the Lord's love and sacrifice, as well as a conversation starter... so with my wonderful friends we went back to Insane Ink (see nose piercing post below) for tattoos. Terra went first. It was her first tattoo. She got the word "Staamani" on the back of her neck. It is Swahili for faithfulness- another reminder as well as conversation started- let's just say the tattoo artist heard a little about Jesus that day :). Lauren went next- she got the word "Seek" on her foot/heel. 'seek ye first the kingdom of God...' I went third. now if you've read previous posts you know i have issues with tattoos/nose piercing... pain in general apparently. My first tattoo (the sign of the Trinity on my foot) i passed out. My nose piercing i passed out and threw up... ugh. So i was prepared knowing this may happen again.. and i warned the tattoo artist. we started and he made me suck on a lollypop and yes. it hurt.. but i was ok for awhile. then i started feeling slightly nauseous when we were over halfway done, so i asked him to stop and we took a little break. after that, we finished and no passing out or throwing up for me... i was pretty stinkin excited. Lastly, Katie went.. she got the word "Redeemed" on her side under her arm on her ribs.. that one hurt the most... poor katie- but she did good- she is so brave. so four tattoos. all reminders of Jesus Christ and his love and sacrifice for us.
we then rewarded ourselves with slurpies... yum.
